Meeting Urls
To join a meeting, Skribby bots require a valid meeting URL. We support all major platforms and automatically handle redirect links from security software.
Supported Formats
Google Meet
- Standard:
https://meet.google.com/abc-defg-hij - Redirects: We automatically unwrap
google.com/url?q=...links.
Zoom
- Standard:
https://zoom.us/j/123456789 - With Passcode:
https://zoom.us/j/123456789?pwd=...
⚠️ Important: If a Zoom meeting requires a passcode, it must be included in the URL via the
pwdparameter. If missing, the bot will fail with anot_admittedstatus.
Microsoft Teams
- Standard:
https://teams.microsoft.com/l/meetup-join/... - Short Links:
https://teams.live.com/...
Link Unwrapping (Safe Links)
In corporate environments, meeting links are often wrapped by security tools like Microsoft Safe Links or Google Workspace protection.
Skribby automatically detects and "unwraps" these URLs to find the actual meeting destination. You can provide the protected link directly to our API without any manual processing:
- Microsoft:
https://*.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=... - Google:
https://www.google.com/url?q=...
Common Mistakes
- Missing Zoom Passcodes: Ensure the URL you copy from your calendar includes the
?pwd=or?password=segment. - Expired Links: If a meeting link has expired, the bot will return an
invalid_meeting_urlstop reason. - Invalid Service: Ensure the
serviceparameter in your API request matches the URL (e.g., don't send a Zoom URL withservice: "gmeet").
