Platforms
Skribby supports the three major meeting platforms. While we strive for feature parity, some functionality depends on the underlying meeting service.

Platform Specifics
Google Meet
- Authentication: Requires a Google Workspace account linked via the Skribby dashboard.
- Chat: Bots can read and send messages to the public chat.
- Entry: Bots usually wait for an organizer to admit them unless the meeting is set to "Open".
Zoom
- Authentication: Uses ZAK tokens for joining as a specific user.
- Security: Zoom often requires a meeting passcode. This must be included in the meeting URL (e.g.,
?pwd=...) for the bot to join successfully. - Chat Threads: Supported via realtime chat events with
idandparent_id. Usereply_to_messagewhen sending chat replies.
Microsoft Teams
- Authentication: Requires an Azure AD account linked via the Skribby dashboard.
- Chat: Bots can send and receive messages.
- Entry: Reliability for guest joins can vary based on the host organization's external access policies.
